2018 A Taste Sensation Culinary Cook-Off
Thank you to our 2018 sponsors, attendees, volunteers, pre-event supports on crowdrise.com, and staff for making the fourth annual A Taste Sensation event a tremendous success.
The event raised $161,400 which will support over 640 days of benevolent hospice care at the Merlin and Carolyn Hanson Hospice Center.
More than 250 guests enjoyed food and beverages, an exciting selection of live auction items, and a live cooking competition by teams of local celebrity and VIP chefs battling it out in a cooking competition to raise money for the Merlin and Carolyn Hanson Hospice Center, to provide exceptional living care for children and adults nearing the end of life, and support for their families.
With the highest score from the three judges, Chef Abel Martinez of the Mason Jar took home the award of Best Chef 2018. With the largest combined overall score, the Champions of A Taste Sensation 2018 was awarded to Team Three, Todd Dockerty COO and Owner, Dockerty Health Care Services and Chef Abel Martinez of the Mason Jar.
All funds raised raised are designated funds to the Hanson Hospice Center and are allocated to the benevolent care funds for costs of room and board, which are not covered by Medicare and most private insurances.
