Okuyamba Film Screening, Reception, and Silent Auction Add to Calendar

Join us at a reception and silent auction to enjoy exotic food, a film screening, and amazing art while you learn more about Caring Circle’s Global Partnership with Our Lady’s Hospice of Thigio, Kenya.

Eye opening, heartbreaking, and ultimately inspiring, Okuyamba asks the difficult question, “Who will care for those left for dead?”

Okuyamba, the Lugandan word meaning, “to help” is a documentary focusing on the common mission shared by a small band of palliative care nurses.  They work tirelessly to ease the pain and suffering of AIDS and cancer patients, dying deep in rural villages of Uganda.

The reception will feature home cooked Kenyan dishes, a screening of the film Okuyamba, and a silent auction featuring art and craft items made in Kenya as well as artwork created by community artists who support the Global Partnership mission.
