Compassion is always in style, according to the organizers of this year’s Fashion with Compassion fashion show fundraiser for Lory’s Place. The event will be held on Thursday, June 15 at 6 p.m. at the Veranda at the Whitcomb, 509 Ship Street, St. Joseph. Claire Knebl created this event in 2009 as her senior project, and since then it has been hosted each year by students from St. Joseph High School.
Charvi Chhatwal and Alysa Gould are the 2017 lead co-chairs, assisted by Nadia Judge and Briana Walsh, who will then become the lead co-chairs in 2018. Young adults from area schools will showcase the latest fashions available in St. Joseph. The event will include a silent auction featuring must-have items donated by local businesses and teen services.
New this year – outfits will be available for sale at the participating merchants after the event. Simply reference the ticket number (located in your program) while visiting any participating vendor to purchase elements from the featured outfits. Our generous merchants will donate a percentage of your purchase back to Lory’s Place!
