Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship
Lakeland Health offers a comprehensive physician-based inpatient palliative consultative service which includes infrastructure development, staff and physician education, and the building of critical relationships. This program is an extension of a robust outpatient palliative care program.
This fellowship has been started under the AOA standards however we are in the process of transitioning into the ACGME.
- 1 open fellowship position available for the 2017-2018 academic year
- Applications to the program are currently being accepted via ERAS (currently conducting phone interviews for new applicants)
- Clinical rotation schedule during the fellowship year
- 4 rotation blocks of in-patient Palliative Medicine
- 4 Rotation blocks of in-patient Hospice at Hanson House
- 1 Rotation block of Geriatric Psychiatry
- 1 Rotation block of Pediatric Palliative/Hospice Medicine
- 3 Rotation blocks of electives
- Longitudinal experiences – 1 day of out-patient Palliative Medicine per week, and 1 day of out-patient hospice per week
