(ST. JOSEPH) – Lakeland Health is pleased to welcome Natalie Baggio, MBA, BSN, RN, to her newly appointed role as Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Executive. Baggio will lead a team of more than 800 registered nurses — plus staffing coordinators, respiratory therapists, and patient care technicians — who provide clinical and support services for patients in both inpatient and outpatient facilities

“Natalie is a welcome addition to the Lakeland family,” said Loren B. Hamel, President & CEO, Lakeland Health. “As we continue to pursue our goal of perfect patient care, we are grateful for the wealth of experience she brings to table in both caring for patients at the bedside as well as caring for team members within an organization.”

Baggio comes to Lakeland from St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, where she served as director of cardiovascular services, critical care, and nursing operations. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Greenville College and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University in 2007. Most recently, in 2013, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Baggio was named to the 40 under 40 list by St. Louis Business Journal in 2016.

“My new role at Lakeland Health provides me with a unique opportunity to not only ensure that our patients are receiving the high quality, compassionate care they deserve, but to also advocate for the staff and ensure they are well cared for and equipped to perform their jobs to the best of their ability,” said Baggio. “I’m also excited to relocate to southwest Michigan and look forward to discovering all this community has to offer.”
