How can I obtain proof of the quarantine my doctor ordered me?

The best place to receive notes is via your MyChart account. Sign up for MyChart online and obtain visit notes following your appointments.

Can I request a “Return to Work” note from my employees?

Spectrum Health is not issuing “Return to Work” notes. We recommend that employers visit the CDC and OSHA websites for guidelines on this topic.

Can I request a “Return to Work” note from an employee who has been quarantined?

Spectrum Health is not issuing “Return to Work” notes. We recommend that employers look at the CDC and OSHA websites for “Return to Work” guidelines.

Where can I get a copy of my doctor’s visit?

The best resource is your MyChart account.

How do we keep our employees safe?

Spectrum Health recommends following the guidelines set forth by the CDC and WHO to help keep your employees safe. This includes proper cleaning and disinfection, working to reduce transmission among employees, and maintaining a healthy work environment. For detailed guidance specific to businesses, additional information is available from the CDC guidance for businesses.

What products do we use and when is best to sanitize?

Spectrum Health aligns with the CDC’s routine environmental cleaning and disinfection, available at their website. Spectrum Health uses EPA approved cleaners and disinfectants, a full list of which is available at the EPA website.

What is the proper handwashing technique?

Spectrum Health promotes the five steps to proper handwashing (wet, lather, scrub for 20 seconds, rinse, and dry). This information is available in printable format from both Spectrum Health and the CDC.

How should I recommend testing to my employees?

Spectrum Health has launched a web-based symptom checker tool to help employers’ to encourage employee screening and testing. We also recommend visiting the CDC's site for guidance on when to seek testing.

Where can I send my employees for testing?

If you believe that you have an employee in need of testing, please have them call the Spectrum Health hotline at 833.559.0659 for appropriate medical advice and instructions.

Should I send my employees to the hospital for screening?

No. If you suspect an employee of having COVID-19, please direct them to call the Spectrum Health screening line for appropriate medical advice and instructions.

Will I get tested for COVID-19 if I am experiencing symptoms?

Due to limited resources, not all individuals who are suspected to have COVID-19 will be tested. Please see this link to the CDC guidelines around testing priority.
