TogaRotated2

Togo, West Africa

Marcus Fazzari PGY3 accompanied a general surgeon from Lakeland, Dr. Craig Kline, who served as an excellent mentor and teacher. While in Togo, he assisted in performing close to 60 surgical cases ranging from hernia repairs to large tumor removals. They were also able to explore the beautiful jungle of Sub-Saharan Africa as well as the unique culture of the African people. It was a true blessing to be able to use the skills acquired through residency training at Lakeland to change the lives of a group of people with little to no access to healthcare.
