Lakeland Wound Center Welcomes Three New Providers

(ST. JOSEPH) – The Lakeland Wound Center is pleased to welcome wound care physician, Gary Witucki, DO, and nurse practitioners, Tracy Ford, NP and Miriam Morgan-Skinner, NP to the care team. Witucki, Ford, and Morgan-Skinner will see patients alongside Sharon Rooney-Gandy, DO, in Niles and St. Joseph.

Dr. Witucki earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University. He completed his residency at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Witucki has over 14 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient wound care. Prior to coming to Lakeland, he worked at Cox Branson Wound Center in Branson, Missouri. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and holds a certification in undersea and hyperbaric medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Ford earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a family nurse practitioner certification from Indiana University in South Bend. She is also licensed with the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board. Prior to coming to Lakeland she served as a nurse practitioner at Extended Care Specialists, Inc. providing care to geriatric patients who reside in a senior living community.

Morgan-Skinner earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Andrews University. She has worked at Spectrum Health Lakeland since 2008 as both a registered nurse and house supervisor caring for post-operative patients. Morgan-Skinner holds an American Academy of Nurse Practitioner certification and serves as president of the post-surgical care innovators group at Lakeland.

Providers at the Lakeland Wound Center help speed up the healing process for patients suffering from severe wounds through a variety of treatments including hyperbaric oxygen chambers. The center is accredited by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS).
