South Haven Community Foundation Grants Funds to Lory’s Place

(SOUTH HAVEN) – Lory’s Place, a grief healing and education center of Caring Circle, a Lakeland Health Affiliate, was recently awarded a $500 grant from the South Haven Community Foundation. Funds will be used to support area adults and children who are grieving the loss of a loved one, as well as establish a peer support group in four South Haven/Covert area schools.
“We are extremely grateful to the South Haven Community Foundation for the incredibly generous grant, which ensures Lory's Place school outreach programs in the South Haven community will continue to flourish,” said Stephanie Kohler, Director of Lory’s Place. “The funds will allow students to receive invaluable grief support throughout the school year which they likely wouldn’t have access to otherwise.”
Last year, Lory’s Place provided bereavement services to over 3,400 children and adults, including bereavement programs in over 50 area schools. There is no charge for the services that Lory’s Place provides. For more information, call (269) 983-2707, or visit www.lorysplace.org
