Spectrum Health Lakeland Cancels, Postpones Appointments Through April 13
Mar 27, 2020
Action in response to COVID-19 outbreak
ST. JOSEPH, Mich., March 27, 2020 – Spectrum Health Lakeland is extending cancellations of all appointments, surgeries, and procedures that are not urgent or emergency-related through April 13, 2020 in a continued effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This applies to appointments with a doctor’s office, diagnostic testing, and appointments for therapies (e.g., occupational, physical, speech).
Lakeland will continue to address the needs of patients by completing urgent, time sensitive appointments, tests and therapies. Patients are asked to contact their provider’s office directly if they have questions.
This decision is in line with revised Spectrum Health Lakeland visitor policies at all facilities to prevent the spread of illness and protect patients, healthcare workers and our communities. Until further notice, restricted/no visitors will be allowed at any Lakeland locations (hospitals, outpatient locations and long-term care facilities). For special circumstances, one approved visitor will be allowed in situations involving patients undergoing surgery and pediatric, maternity, end of life or critically ill patients.
