(ST. JOSEPH) - Corewell Health welcomes advanced practice provider Barbara Glassford, NP, to the medical staff. Glassford is accepting new patients at the primary care office located at 400 Medical Park Drive, Suite 200, in Watervliet, Michigan. Her focus will be diagnosis, treating and preventing disease in individuals 18 years and older.

Glassford earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana and received a Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana. She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses of Indiana. Glassford returns to the Corewell Health team with over 40 years of nursing experience in various care spaces, including cardiac and urgent care. 

“I see a variety of adults, from routine wellness to more complex needs that may include coordination with multiple health specialists,” said Glassford. “My approach to care is based on listening to my patients and creating relationships built on trust and honesty. We work together to develop a care plan that supports their goals and examine how other factors, like family dynamics, cultural background and life circumstances, can also affect health."
