(NILES) – Spectrum Health Lakeland is pleased to welcome Lindsey Kinney, DO, to the medical staff. Dr. Kinney is seeing patients alongside four expert providers at Spectrum Health Lakeland Primary Care, Longmeadow, located at 4 Longmeadow Village Drive in Niles.

Dr. Kinney earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and bachelor’s degree in allied health sciences, with a minor in biology from Grand Valley State University. She completed her family medicine residency at Spectrum Health Lakeland prior to becoming a permanent member of the medical staff. Dr. Kinney is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, and Michigan Osteopathic Association.

“As a resident, I appreciated the community and care offered at Lakeland and I knew I’d be supported in my goals as a provider here,” said Dr. Kinney. “I’m excited to continue caring for so many wonderful families and individuals. My goal with each patient is to ensure that they feel listened to, are comfortable with their care plan, and that their health needs are met.”

Dr. Kinney joins Lakeland during what is on pace to be a record year of new physicians and advanced practitioners being recruited to the health system. Year to date, Spectrum Health Lakeland has recruited 66 new medical staff members, up 18 from last year.

“We are thrilled to retain dedicated and talented providers in our system, which allows us to expand our care access locally, said James Savoie, director primary care practices, Spectrum Health Lakeland. “Dr. Kinney is a wonderful addition to our primary care team.”

Spectrum Health Lakeland Primary Care will see every member of your family, regardless of age, gender, or medical condition. They are the first point of contact for most of a person’s healthcare needs throughout their lifetime, including physical, mental, and social well-being.
