(ST. JOSEPH) – Spectrum Health Lakeland is pleased to welcome Evan Lytle, DO to the medical staff. Lytle is seeing patients alongside board-certified neurosurgeon Rafeek Woods, MD; Angela Blomgren, PA; and Alexander George, PA at Spectrum Health Lakeland Neurosurgery, located at 3950 Hollywood Road, Suite 210, in St. Joseph.

Lytle earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, and bachelor’s degree in biology, with an emphasis is cellular molecular, and a minor in chemistry from Utah State University. Prior to joining Lakeland Neurosurgery, he completed a neurosurgery residency at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Lytle is specially trained to perform surgeries using the Mazor X Stealth™ Edition Robotic Guidance Platform. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, and College of Neurological Surgery.

“My approach to care is based around creating a partnership with my patient where they can feel comfortable and confident with their care plan,” said Lytle. “We work together to find the right approach for their outcome, which may include something outside of traditional surgery. Advanced technologies, like minimally invasive spine surgery, can sometimes be a better alternative.”

The care team at Spectrum Health Lakeland Neurosurgery provides both operative and nonoperative management of disorders that affect the central and peripheral nervous systems, including their supportive structures and vascular supply.
