Collection Instructions

• Prep venipuncture site with Aqueous Zephiran (benzalkonium chloride), aqueous Merthiolate (thimerosal), or povidone-iodine.
• Fill collection tube to vacuum capacity to minimize evaporation of volatiles (ethanol)
• Immediately after collection, gently invert tube 5-10 times

• Keep tube tightly stoppered. Do not open.

• Refrigerate entire tube of whole blood
