Collection Instructions

• Routine venipuncture
Immediately after collection, gently invert tube 5-10 times
• Clot 30 minutes (serum tube)
Promptly centrifuge 15 minutes
• Properly centrifuged gel barrier tube does not require transfer of serum to separate tube
• Specimen should be processed within 2 hours of collection
• Refrigerate
