Collection Instructions

• Routine venipuncture
Immediately after collection, gently invert tube 5-10 times
Promptly centrifuge 15 minutes
Immediately transfer plasma to plastic tube
• Freeze

• Refrigerated: 21 days
• Frozen (preferred): 60 days

Remarks

Green top, Sodium Heparin is preferred collection tube. A lavender top EDTA is acceptable. Lithium Heparin green tube is also acceptable, but it must be a non-gel Lithium Heparin tube.
