Sterile swab from culture collection/transport system
Clear top tube (no additive)

Collection Instructions

Catheter Tip:
• Disinfect the skin around the catheter with an iodine preparation
• Remove catheter using sterile technique
• Cut off a short section (approximately 2 inches) including the area directly beneath the skin, using sterile scissors from suture removal kit
• Place catheter tip into sterile screw cap container
• Submit to laboratory as soon as possible
