Collection Instructions

• Sample obtained with UBIT Breath Container Kit
Contact laboratory to schedule collection
• Fasting at least 1 hour prior to collection
• Two (2) breath samples are to be collected following instructions in collection kit
A baseline breath sample is collected before administration of "Pranactin-Citric"
A post-dose sample is collected 15 minutes after ingestion of "Pranactin-Citric"
Patient should be restricted from antimicrobials, proton pump inhibitors, or bismuth preparations for 2 weeks prior to the test to prevent false negative results

Specimen remarks:
Age, gender, height, and weight are required to calculate urea hydrolysis rate
The drug component, "Pranactin-Citric", contains phenylalanine
