(ST. JOSEPH) – Providers from Lake Michigan Hearing Center & Sinus and Sleep Apnea Center have joined the Lakeland Medical Practices team –  now known as Lakeland Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT). Collectively, the practice consists of three locations in Niles, Berrien Springs, and St. Joseph. Debbie Habenicht, MD, FACS; Dennis Thompson, MD, FACS; and Stephen Bovenkerk, MD, together with Audiologists Craig Rigler and Cathy Burns, will provide services for all of Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.

The practices offer a full range of services, including medical and surgical management of disorders in children and in adults in the ears, nose, throat, voice, neck, thyroid and parathyroid glands, salivary glands, face, and scalp.  The providers also specialize in the management of problems of the nose, sinus and snoring related to sleep apnea, as well as allergy testing and immunization.  Facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with complete management of facial skin lesions is also a core service of the providers.

James Savoie recently assumed the role as Practice Manager of Lakeland Ear Nose and Throat.

“My goal in this role is to assure a high standard of care for our patients as well as a high level of safety and satisfaction within our practice,” said James.

He comes to the practice with 25 years of healthcare experience including laboratory, business development, and practice management. James holds a Master’s of Science in Health Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.

“This integration will allow Lakeland to continue to meet the needs of our patients by offering ENT services throughout southwest Michigan and increasing the continuity of care for our patients,” said James. “By joining forces, we are also be better positioned to attract additional great providers to our practice, so that we can continue to care for our community well into the future.”
