Corewell Health Welcomes New Nurse Midwife

ST. JOSEPH, Mich., September 20, 2023 - Alexandra Vroom, CNM, has joined Corewell Health™ in Southwest Michigan. Vroom will see patients alongside three physicians and four other advanced practice providers at Corewell Health Women’s Health ‐ Royalton, 3950 Hollywood Road, Suite 100, in St. Joseph. 

 

Vroom earned a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Michigan and completed clinical rotations at hospitals throughout Michigan. From August 2019 to March 2020, Vroom volunteered as a maternal and child health promoter in the Peace Corps in Zambia.

“Domestically and globally, I’ve seen that not all women’s health journeys are the same,” Vroom said. “I’m excited to join a health system like Corewell Health where I can continue to fulfill my passion and provide exceptional care and service to help improve the health of all patients.”  

 

Women’s health professionals manage the health and wellness needs of adolescents and adults by providing obstetric care that includes pre-conception counseling through postpartum management. Beyond pregnancy, the providers care for women experiencing many gynecological conditions including abnormal uterine bleeding, symptomatic fibroids, infertility, urinary urgency and incontinence, pelvic health and postmenopausal symptoms.
