What to do if you think you have COVID-19
With a growing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in West Michigan and the United States, feeling sick can be scary. If you have symptoms like fever, cough or shortness of breath, contact your primary care provider first to obtain a doctor’s order and then schedule a COVID-19 test through Lakeland MyChart or by calling 269.927.5100 (Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Testing at a Spectrum Health Lakeland facility requires a doctor's order prior to making an appointment and is reserved for patients with COVID-19 symptoms.
NOTE: COVID-19 testing in the emergency department and walk-in clinics will only be ordered for patients who are symptomatic.
If you do not have a provider, COVID-19 testing is reserved for symptomatic patients at all three of Lakeland’s walk-in clinics (Niles, Stevensville, and Watervliet). An appointment is not needed and results will post to your
MyChart account within the following 24 to 48 hours. Rapid testing is reserved for patients who may need antibody treatment, are a candidate for the COVID at home program, or who may have very severe symptoms making a diagnosis and treatment a high priority. All COVID-19 tests will continue to be billed to a patient’s insurance if available. For more information about walk-in clinic locations and hours,
