What are chronic migraines?

Migraine is a common health condition, affecting around 1 in every 5 women and around 1 in every 15 men. They usually begin in early adulthood. There are many people who get migraine often but don’t have chronic migraine. Chronic migraines are qualified as a condition for those who experience:
 
  • 15 or more headache days per month (at least 8 of which are associated with migraine)
  • Each headache day lasts 4 or more hours
  • Severe pain
