Corewell Health Offers Free Advance Care Planning Workshop

(ST. JOSEPH) - Corewell Health, the new name for Spectrum Health Lakeland, is offering a free advance care planning (ACP) workshop on Tuesday, April 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at
Caring Circle located on 4025 Health Park Lane in St. Joseph. ACP workshops are offered every third Tuesday of the month and led by a trained facilitator.
Advance care planning is an opportunity for adults, 18 years and older, to make their decision known in writing of how they would like to receive medical treatment and who can speak for them if they cannot speak for themselves.
“A person does not need to wait until they retire, are old or sick in order to create an advance care directive,” said Julie Griffin, advance care planning coordinator at Corewell Health. “The right time to start planning is now.”
