Providing Hope and Strength During Times of Grief
For the last 20 years, Lory’s Place has been providing grief support and education at no cost thanks to the unwavering support of our community. Thank you for helping us create safe spaces to those who face one of life’s most profound challenges, the death of a loved one.
This past year alone our accomplishments include:
- 3956 Individuals and families served by allowing access to trained bereavement coordinators and support groups
- 138 Expanded programs and educational opportunities, bringing awareness to 1461 people
- 65 Community outreach groups, serving nearly 1200 students in Southwest Michigan
Together with your philanthropic support, services have been offered at no cost for the last 20 years. Join us as we step into the future and be part of all we plan to do:
- Expand programming at our center by adding a young adult group and adult camp experience.
- Work with local restaurants to provide dinner to our families.
- Develop a framework to broaden our community programs to reach underserved populations affected by death.
- Refresh and improve our space by replacing well-worn and loved items.
- Create comfort bags for newly bereaved to distribute during the intake process.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today. Our center provides a safe haven for those grieving as well as peer support, crisis response, training and compassionate resources to guide them through the healing process. Let’s make sure these services continue for many years to come. Together, we can continue to offer a compassionate embrace to those who are hurting and make sure that no one has to grieve alone.
