Lory's Place Camp Lifetimes 2019
Camp Lifetimes is focused on peer support, fun, and grief work for bereaved children in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana.
Any child who has experienced the death of a significant person in their life is invited to attend camp, even if they have not used our services before.
It is our sincere hope that each child will leave camp with new friends who understand and know their story, along with the encouragement to continue to work through their grief.
Thanks to the generous support of individuals and our community, registration to Camp Lifetimes continues to be offered to all participants without cost. If you know someone who might benefit from our camp experience, please encourage them to attend.
What's Your Super Power?
The theme for this year’s Camp Lifetimes is “What’s Your Super Power?” Campers will spend time learning about their grief, healthy coping skills, and self-care. The goal is for campers to identify some of their super powers that help them deal with grief feelings. The participants will engage in a sharing circle, create a hero feeling shield, and observe how other living creatures protect and care for themselves by visiting Sarett Nature Center. They will also have a fun photo-op with a few surprise friends.
Transportation to these locations will be provided by Lory’s Place.
Drop off 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Drop off and pick-up will be at:
445 Upton Dr.,
St. Joseph, MI 49085
Parents are welcome to attend the closing ceremony at Lory’s Place from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.
