(ST. JOSEPH) - Lory's Place, a grief healing and education team of Caring Circle and part of Corewell Health, is hosting a series of spring and summer social events. All the events are free to join and designed for individuals who have experienced the death of a significant person. Each event is meant to provide a safe and supportive activity for people to connect and enjoy time spent with others. Some require an RSVP to attend.

New this year is a Memorial candlelight service on Friday, May 26. It is being held to remember local heroes and loved ones who died in military service to our nation. The public is encouraged to bring a photograph or memento of the person they are honoring. There will be an opportunity to share about its significance.

“These events are open to the public and offer an opportunity for people to socialize and meet other community members with similar experiences in a safe environment,” said Stephanie Kohler-Pagan, Director of Bereavement and Lory’s Place, Corewell Health. “We are creating unique opportunities for people to take an active role in their grief healing and be more comfortable sharing.”
