Security Now Providing Lock-Out Service

by Abigail Tippin | Jan 31, 2020
Locked out of your car? A Lakeland security officer can help.

Lakeland security officers are now providing lock-out service on our campuses. Officers have recently completed training and received the equipment necessary to unlock vehicles for people who accidentally lock their keys inside.

Those in need of the service should call the main operator to alert security and let them know what parking lot they are in. The service is free of charge.

Previously, the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety provided the lock-out service. The new capability of Lakeland officers will not only help those in need of the service but will also allow police officers to remain focused on other duties.
