You can help kids across Southwest Michigan when you participate in this year's Spring Into Reading Book Drive!
From Monday, March 2 to Friday, March 28, United Way of Southwest Michigan will hold a book drive in partnership with local organizations like ours. The drive seeks to collect 5,000 new and gently used books for children in Southwest Michigan. The books will be distributed through home visiting programs in low-income communities, food pantries, and more.
To participate, you can drop off books at one of the following Lakeland locations. Look for a labeled collection box in the lobby of each Lakeland site listed below:
- Center for Outpatient Services, St. Joseph
- Lakeland at Meadowbrook, Benton Harbor
- Lakeland Hospital Niles
- Lakeland Hospital Watervliet
- Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph
Please make sure any donated books are age appropriate and of interest to children. Books with a focus on diversity are greatly encouraged.
