Construction at Lakeland Medical Center and Spectrum Health Lakeland Niles Hospital progresses over the summer.

Construction is progressing on two key efforts at Spectrum Health Lakeland this summer.

Phase II of the Pavilion at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph, is currently underway, as the former Java City and gift shop area is transformed into a new entrance. The space will connect to the Pavilion and provide multiple amenities for visitors and team members. It is slated for completion late this year. Phase II also includes work on a renovated emergency department entrance and ambulance bays, renovated prep/recovery area, and short stay unit.

“We are so proud of our Facilities, Planning, Design, and Construction (FPDC) team,“ said Daniel Bacchiocchi, director, FPDC. “The work of this team has provided incredible value to our organization.”

An orthopedic and bariatric expansion at Spectrum Health Lakeland Niles Hospital is nearing completion. The state-of-the-art expansion will dramatically extend capacity and services for many orthopedic and bariatric patients in Niles and the surrounding communities. Phase II, a cardiac expansion, will begin at the hospital this summer. To learn more, visit this page
