Standardizing Desktops and Laptops at Lakeland

by Abigail Tippin | Nov 23, 2021
A team is working to standardize desktops and laptops at Lakeland. Here's what that means for you.

The desktop standardization project has officially started! The standardization team has deployed in ambulatory clinics this quarter, with remote team member and hospital-based devices to follow. Please stay tuned for more information on upcoming scheduled deployments.

What to expect:

  • A new computer image that connects to the Spectrum Health enterprise domain with a slightly different look and feel. Assigned devices (desktop or laptop) will generally be replaced with a “new-to-you” device. Existing devices may be reimaged under certain circumstances.
  • Technicians will come onsite, and work to validate that your newly imaged device is working correctly and you have the access you need to do your job.

How to prepare:

  • Team members: Please complete this questionnaire to ensure we have the most up-to-date information about your device as soon as possible.
    • If you only use devices with Imprivata/badge readers you do NOT need to complete this survey.
  • Manager/department leads: Please ensure that the applications your department needs to perform their work are on this list: SHL Approved Applications (sharepoint.com)
    • If an application is missing from this list and is necessary for your department to perform their work, please submit this request to have the application onboarded.
