Security Aligns Name and Dispatch with Spectrum Health

by Abigail Tippin | Dec 22, 2021
Starting Nov. 1, calls to Lakeland dispatch will be directed to Spectrum Health dispatch.

The Lakeland safety and security team has undergone a name change. They are now called Security Services to align with Spectrum Health.

They have also had a change in dispatch center. Calls to Lakeland dispatch are being directed to Spectrum Health dispatch. You can still dial the same internal number of 8144 or, to save time, Lakeland team members should call the new dispatch directly at 616.391.1425.

All VOCERA calls will also go directly to dispatch.

The change will allow for safer communications, situational awareness for Incident Command, and enhanced documentation.

When you call the Spectrum Health security police you will be prompted to press the following:

1 for emergency calls

2 for security police dispatch (non emergency)

3 for West Michigan access control and badging assistance

4 for Lakeland access control and badging assistance

5 for Blodgett shuttle requests

Or remain on the line for the next dispatcher

Thank you for your commitment to making Spectrum Health Lakeland a safe environment. If you have questions, please contact Al DiBrito at al.dibrito@spectrumhealth.org or 269.235.0086
