The Michigan Health & Hospital Association will be featuring frontline healthcare workers across the state in honor of Healthcare Week (National Hospital Week). We’re looking for volunteers to represent Lakeland on their Facebook and Twitter channels during the week of May 9!

If you’re a frontline worker interested in being featured, please email shlcorporatecommunications@spectrumhealth.org by Monday, May 3, with the following items:

  • Photo of you in your work setting (please ensure there are no other team members, patients, or anyone else in the photo)
  • Your name and job title
  • A quote from you answering this question: “How can Michiganders honor and support their healthcare heroes?”

The Veggie Van™, a mobile farmers market, served 13 counties throughout Michigan this year, ensuring that free fruits and vegetables were available to individuals who otherwise had limited access. The program, a joint effort of Corewell Health™ and the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, launched in 2018 to combat food insecurity and will continue for a sixth consecutive year in spring 2024. Through their partnership, 46,466 free pieces of produce were distributed to Michigan families in 2023.
