Center for Outpatient Services Operating Rooms Move to Pavilion
Jul 19, 2019
Three operating rooms currently located at the Center for Outpatient Services will move to the Lakeland Medical Center Pavilion this fall. The new Pavilion will feature twelve state-of-art operating rooms.
The move will help centralize surgeries, lower costs, effectively manage team member workflow, and improve patient access and experience. Operating rooms in the Pavilion will feature enhanced technology not previously available for patients including a laminar air flow ventilation system to decrease the risk of surgical site infections. While current operating rooms are between 450 to 600 square feet, the new rooms will be between 650 to 1,000 square feet.
All other services currently offered at the Center for Outpatient Services will remain in operation. Best use of the former operating room space at the Health Park is still under consideration.
