About Spectrum Health Lakeland
Spectrum Health Lakeland, a not-for-profit health system located in southwest Michigan, is a division of Spectrum Health. Our locations include three hospitals, a comprehensive outpatient service center, regional cancer center, hospice residence, skilled-nursing and rehab facility, and over 40 employed physician practices. Our main campus is a 250-bed hospital located in St. Joseph. We also have community hospitals in Niles and Watervliet.

In addition to providing an array of specialties, we also invest in the latest tools and technologies. This includes three of the latest Xi models for the da Vinci robotic system for minimally invasive surgery - ranking us among only an elite few in the entire country. We use Epic electronic health records (including Dragon for dictation) and achieved HIMSS Stage 7 meaningful use in 2014 (recertified in 2017). We were the first health system in Michigan to earn this highest level of designation, and one of only about 2% of health systems nationwide!
Spectrum Health Lakeland is a teaching hospital, offering residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Dermatology. We also host 3rd and 4th year medical students from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Central Michigan University College of Medicine.
Southwest Michigan has been called the Riviera of the Midwest. We have access to amazing beaches and beautiful dunes along Lake Michigan, with a lush countryside that produces some of the nation's finest orchards and vineyards.
