Drive-up COVID-19 Specimen Collection Site Opens in St. Joseph
Mar 16, 2020 Share

Spectrum Health Lakeland has opened a drive-up COVID-19 specimen collection site at the Center for Outpatient Services, St. Joseph, located at 3900 Hollywood Road. This site is being used to enable fast, efficient and safe testing from individuals who have a physician's order to be tested, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This site is not a drive-up site for screening or on-demand specimen collection. Both the screening and specimen collection are free through the state of Michigan. However, with the high volume of tests, Spectrum Health Lakeland has employed the work of commercial labs, which could impact cost. Therefore, individuals are asked to bring their current insurance information with them.

During the specimen collection, individuals will stay in their car the entire process while medical personnel wearing protective gear swab inside the nose. They will be asked their full name and date of birth to match up with the test.
