Lakeland Honors Retiring Physician in Coloma

(ST. JOSEPH) – Lakeland HealthCare recently recognized Family Medicine Physician, Samuel Roda, MD, on his upcoming retirement from practice.
Dr. Roda has served the community for more than 30 years, most recently at Coloma Medical Center. He attended medical school in his home country, the Philippines, before immigrating to Chicago to complete his family practice residency training at St. Mary Nazareth Medical Center. In addition to his service to southwest Michigan residents, Dr. Roda made regular trips to the Philippines for medical mission trips.
“Dr. Roda has provided quality care to patients in the Tri-Cities area for over 30 years,” said Ray Cruse, CEO, Lakeland Hospital, Watervliet. “We as a hospital and as a community are indebted to him for his dedication. I will personally miss having Dr. Roda as part of the team and wish him the best.”
Patients of Dr. Roda will continue to be treated by the team at Coloma Medical Center following his retirement on Friday, January 30.
