Longtime Southwestern Medical Clinic Physician to Retire

(ST. JOSEPH) – After 44 years of service to patients in southwest Michigan and on medical missions overseas, Ronald Baker, MD, family medicine, is set to retire from Southwestern Medical Clinic in Stevensville at the end of June.

Lakeland will host a career celebration for patients and members of the community to wish Dr. Baker well on his retirement on Tuesday, June 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Southwestern Medical Clinic in Stevensville, located at 5515 Cleveland Avenue.

Dr. Baker spent the first 16 years of his medical career as a medical missionary in a remote hospital in Sierra Leone, West Africa before returning to southwest Michigan where he served as a family medicine physician and continued to participate in short-term missions.

Patients of Dr. Baker will continue to be treated by the team at Southwestern Medical Clinic, Stevensville. For more information, contact the office at (269) 429-9677.
