Corewell Health Welcomes New Advanced Practitioner to Cardiac Care Team in Southwest Michigan

(ST. JOSEPH) - Corewell Health is pleased to welcome Pansy Samuel, NP, to the heart and vascular medical staff. Samuel is seeing patients alongside ten cardiology physician specialists and eight advanced practitioners in Coloma, Niles and St. Joseph. 

Samuel earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Indiana University and completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Andrews University. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Michigan Counsel of Nurse Practitioners. With certifications in critical care and cardiac surgery, Samuel has over 20 years of nursing experience.

“I am passionate about the improvement of care for the best patient outcomes,” said Samuel. “I am excited to make the transition from bedside nursing to a provider role, to assist my patients in achieving their healthcare goals, and to impact their families and my community as a whole.”

Corewell Health offers patients across Southwest Michigan access to more than 60 experienced cardiac clinicians who care for a variety of conditions impacting the heart and vascular system. Physicians have earned national recognition for their pioneering work in peripheral vascular intervention and nuclear medicine. Corewell Health has also been recognized as a certified chest pain and a Service Line of Excellence for the percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), chest pain center and open-heart surgery programs by Corazon, Inc., a national leader in services for the cardiovascular specialty.
