Collection Instructions

Body Fluid:
• Gently invert Lavender top tube 5-10 times
• Document source of body fluid on label
• Immediately deliver to the laboratory

• Blood (serum):
• Draw one Gold top (SST) tube of blood for serum LDH and Total Protein
• Clot 30 minutes
• Promptly centrifuge

Transportation Instructions

• Do not centrifuge Lavender tube
• Refrigerate entire Lavender top tube
• Refrigerate Gold and Red top tubes
