Spectrum Health Lakeland collaborates with Telehealth to allow remote monitoring and virtual appointments for patients treated at the hospital. A member of your care team can send exam notes, history, test results, X-rays or other images to an available specialist to review. The specialist may respond electronically or conduct a virtual appointment.
What does this mean for you?
These virtual consultations may reduce wait times for specialist input and eliminate unnecessary travel. These services are more readily available or convenient for people with limited time, mobility, or transportation options.
During a stroke time lost is brain lost. The partnership with Telehealth allows our team to connect with available medical teams 24/7 if a local specialist is not available. This collaboration allows a Telehealth team member to connect with our Lakeland Neurology to ensure all medical information is prepared for follow up care.
