Lakeland Team Members Donate to Little Hats, Big Hearts
Jan 3, 2019 Share

In support of the Little Hats, Big Hearts™ project, ConnectIT team members have crocheted and knitted red baby hats for donation. ConnectIT team members also helped with the project by donating yarn or money to purchase supplies. This donation marks the second year ConnectIT has participated, increasing their efforts from 78 hats last year to 163 hats this year.

Little Hats, Big Hearts raises awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of Americans, and congenital heart defects (CHD), the most common type of birth defect in the country and the leading killer of infants with birth defects.

All donated hats go to the American Heart Association (in connection with the Children’s Heart Foundation) and are distributed to babies born in the month of February at participating hospitals, including Spectrum Health Lakeland.
