Why I chose Lakeland: I had a great impression on the residents and attending physicians while I interviewed here. Lakeland is only hour away from Chicago Chinatown so I will be able to enjoy authentic food once in a while. Most importantly, I couple-matched with my girlfriend and it is exciting to be able to working with each other in the same hospital!! We love spending time at the beach!!

Why I chose Lakeland: I was impressed with the facilities and the location, as well as, the friendliness and comradery among residents and staff. In addition, being in St. Joseph provides me the opportunity to be close to family and friends, while developing new relationships.

Why I chose Lakeland: Everyone I met was very warm and welcoming and the residents were easy to get along with. They were not out to prove who is the best but really wanted everyone to succeed. The hospital has a great variety of pathology and the community was very hospitable like the South but with a little colder weather.

Why I chose Lakeland: I chose Lakeland because the residents and attending physicians are smart, friendly, and fun to be around. I was impressed by the hospital and house staff, as well as the diversity of the patient population I would get to treat. The town of St. Joseph is also a beautiful area with plenty of fun things to do, and it felt like home the minute I arrived.

The attending physicians and director truly cared about the residents, wanting them to be happy and have a solid foundation in primary care. I loved the location of Saint Joseph and the small town-feel. I felt at home.
