24-Hour Skilled-Nursing Care
Pine Ridge provides daily nursing and rehabilitative care that can be performed only by or under the supervision of licensed professionals. Examples include complex wound dressings, rehabilitation, tube feedings, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Medicare will pay for Skilled-Nursing Care under the following conditions:
- The patient is Medicare eligible and the facility is Medicare certified
- The patient was hospitalized for at least 3 consecutive days and admitted to a skilled-nursing facility within 30 days of hospital discharge
- A physician certified the patient needs skilled-nursing care
- The patient requires skilled-nursing/rehabilitative services on a daily basis
- Skilled rehabilitation services are provided 5 days a week
