Training Tracks

Lifestyle Medicine

  • We offer education and certification in Lifestyle Medicine. This allows our residents following this track to become certified in Lifestyle Medicine through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine by the end of their residency. Lifestyle Medicine focuses on non-pharmacological measures and lifestyle changes to promote wellness and treat disease processes. There are six pillars of focus including whole food plant-based nutrition, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, avoidance of risky substances, positive social connection, and stress management.

Osteopathic Recognition

  • The Designated Osteopathic Resident (DOR) Curriculum is intended to provide residents with a pathway to develop medical knowledge, practical skills and mentorship in the area of Osteopathic Medicine.

Obstetrical Track

  • This track provides residents with the skills necessary to practice obstetrical care outside of residency. Residents will be mentored by two Obstetricians and complete a minimum of 3 local Labor and Delivery rotations, as well, as an away high-volume elective. Residents will provide quarterly presentations to the OB office and participate in high-risk and emergency simulations in our SIM lab.

Sports Medicine Track

  • This track provides residents exposure to the field of sports medicine and builds proficiency in their sports medicine skills. Residents will participate in the planning and management of major regional sporting events, as well as in local sports wellness community activities including pre-participation physical exams for high school athletes, team sport coverage and training room oversight.  Residents in this track will complete and present a sports medicine related research project and attend an American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) Annual Conference.
