This is the 20th anniversary of the Lory's Place Run, Walk, Rock to benefit Lory's Place, a grief healing and education center of Corewell Health. Your participation in this beloved event, as well as your donations to Lory’s Place, continues to assist the team in providing vital support to our hurting communities throughout Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana.


More About Lory’s Place

Since the opening of Lory’s Place bereavement programs in 2004, we have been honored to support over 55,000 children and adults after the death of a significant person. Our programs reach beyond our facility doors to over 63 peer support groups in Allegan, Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties. All the programs and services at Lory’s Place are available at no charge. That means that no child or adult is ever turned away because of an inability to pay.

The financial support through Lory’s Place fundraisers, like Run, Walk, Rock, go a long way in ensuring safe spaces will be created for those who have experienced the death of someone significant. This work could not happen without you. The children, adults, and families who are part of Lory’s Place join us in expressing deepest gratitude to you for supporting our mission of grief healing.

Race Registration and Fees

  • Groundhog Day Special – February 2-4, 2024 registration is ONLY $20.00
  • February 5th to March 31st (11:59pm) @ $25.00
  • April 1st to April 19th (11:59pm) @ $30.00
  • April 20th to May 16th (11:59pm) @ $35.00
  • May 17th and May 18th (8:15am) @ $40.00 - Bring your phone to register via a special late registration QR code at the race registration table.

Group Discount

After February 4, if you are registering a group of four or more participants, you will receive a $5.00 discount per registrant. If you need assistance in registering a large group of people, please give us a call 269.983.2707 for additional registration options.

Race T-Shirt

Guaranteed tri-blend long sleeved t-shirt for participants who register on or before April 19, 2024.

Note: There is no size exchange for t-shirts. If you do not pick up your t-shirt at early packet pick up (May 17) or race day (May 18) you are not guaranteed your shirt.


Rocking Chair Raffle

If you would like to win a signature white Rocking Chair, please place the tag at the bottom of your bib in one of the boxes on the registration tables. All ages are eligible to win a rocking chair. Bib numbers will be announced at the event.


Champions for Children Challenge

Students, teachers, staff, and administrators are invited to represent their school in either the 5K walk or run! The school that has the most participants will receive the “Champions for Children” traveling trophy and $500 from Boss Services. You must indicate the school and/or grade you’re representing on the registration form to count towards this participation award.
