Pod 1 Exercises

PARCOURSE Pod 1

Ring Trace:

  1. Grasp one or two colored rings with your hands.
  2. With abdominals' tight, slide the rings from one side to the other and try not to let the rings touch the bar.
  3. Repeat motion in opposite direction.

Finger Walk:

  1. Place pointer finger between two lines.
  2. Walk your pointer and middle finger up the board skipping over each line.
  3. Repeat motion back down the board.

Assisted Step Around:

  1. Standing between the steps near the center post, place one hand securely on the center ring handlebar.
  2. Slowly step over the step, one leg at a time. Repeat, switching arms as you switch legs.
  3. For advanced use, walk continuously around the center ring stepping carefully over each step.

Assisted Functional Trainer:

Step Up

  1. Grasping both handrails, place right foot entirely on the platform.
  2. Slowly step up with the left foot and then step with the right followed by the left.
  3. Repeat five to ten times with each foot and alternate feet throughout.

Seated Squat

  1. Standing between the seat and the handrail, slowly lower yourself onto the seat, your wheelchair seat, grasp the handrail as needed.
  2. Once seated, use the handrail to return to the standing position.
  3. Repeat eight to 15 times.
