Greetings in the name of Christ! I am excited to share with you the advancement of the Dental Clinic and
Nursing School project associated with the Methodist Hospital in Ankaase, Ghana. We have partnered
with the hospital leadership in their vision to establish this much needed dental clinic for the local
community AND include a one-of-a-kind dental nursing school for the nation.
Ghana has about 350 dentists, mostly located in the 2 largest cities, serving a population of more than
27 million. The need for dental care in the country far exceeds the current capacity. This degree program
will train up to 30 students annually to become qualified dental nurses who can provide primary dental
care and assist in dental procedures.
Crosspoint Global Health has partnered with the Ankaase Methodist Hospital from the beginning of this
project and continues to help raise resources. We have made the completion of the Dental Clinic and
School our primary goal for 2020, https://www.facebook.com/Crosspointglobal/, and
https://www.crosspointgh.org/. Please note the photos and video at different stages.
Multiple stakeholders from Ghana, Europe and the United States have contributed significantly to raise
support for equipment and provide the building. Over $120,000 over the last two years has been
donated to meet the forecasted cost of $200,000 leaving us to raise $80,000 to complete the project.
We are blessed to have received a Matching Gift Grant from Southwestern Medical Clinic Foundation in
the amount of $10,000 to assist us to reach our goal. SWMCF is a Christian Medical Missions
Foundation, www.swmcf.org, who has partnered with us and generously supported us throughout the
years. This Ankaase Hospital Dental campaign will run for 90 days and end November 30th.
This grant means that for every $1 donated, Southwestern Medical Clinic Foundation will match with an
equal amount up to $10,000. We ask you to prayerfully consider contributing to this essential and
unique campaign for improving the health of individuals and communities in Ghana!
We desire this dental outreach of the Ankaase Hospital to be a tangible expression of the love of Christ
who makes life whole!
