On behalf of our Foundation Board of Directors and the Spectrum Health Lakeland Leadership Team, I want to thank you for your partnership with Lakeland through philanthropy. Your generosity enables Lakeland to continue to serve the community, most notably in times of crisis like this one.

At Spectrum Health Lakeland, the safety and well-being of our patients and staff are our top priority. Spectrum Health’s Infectious Disease team is monitoring COVID-19 daily, and is in close contact with local and state health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to remain vigilant against the virus.

We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of requests from the community to help during this COVID-19 pandemic. If you’d like to give to the Spectrum Health Lakeland COVID-19 Response Fund you can do so at give.spectrumhealth.org/COVID-Lakeland.

Your donation will provide comfort to our caregivers and community by providing essential needs like PPE (personal protection equipment), blood test analyzers, ventilators, and other unique and unexpected health care requests. Every gift is needed to fight this pandemic.

Your generosity and support is deeply appreciated and makes such a difference in improving health, inspiring hope, and saving lives. We would like to thank one of our first donors to the fund, The Wood Foundation, for their philanthropic leadership and recognition of need with their generous $25,000 gift.

In response to the outpouring of community inquiries and offers of support, Spectrum Health Lakeland has also established a drop-off donation site at Lakeland at Meadowbrook, located at 2550 Meadowbrook Road in Benton Harbor. Donations will be accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

While Spectrum Health Lakeland continues to maintain a supply of masks and other personal protection equipment for its patients and healthcare providers, we are working to stretch our supply and turning to the community because we anticipate the need will continue to grow. More information about items being accepted can be found here.

At this time Spectrum Health Lakeland is not accepting donations of other medical equipment, medications, or blankets. If you have a large donation requiring special arrangements or a question about a donation, please email safetycamp@lakelandhealth.org.

Please remember to wash your hands frequently, along with other basic prevention measures, and remain vigilant in practicing social distancing. These are the most effective ways to prevent exposure to COVID-19 and #flattenthecurve.

Together, we can do this!

Sincerely,

Brandi Smith, President
Spectrum Health Lakeland Foundation
