Twice a year in April and October, active members of the Spectrum Health Lakeland medical staff are required to attend a General Medical Staff (GMS) meeting. Attendees are designated CME credit for participating in this activity. Each event consists of updates about the system, state of quality, a brief educational piece, and standard business involving approval of minutes, bylaw changes or policy edits.
Marketing and Communications supports a planning committee led by the acting President of the Medical Staff. Tasks often include:
- Copy and design of printed invitation
- Marketing automation invite with RSVP web form
- Videos for presentation
- Communication with all presenters
- Copy and design of presentation handouts
- Final custom PowerPoint presentation
