Primary Care Provider (PCP) Summits
Twice a year during the summer and winter, primary care providers, residents and selected specialists are invited to attend a two-hour Patient Care Summit. These collaborative discussions are mandatory for all Lakeland primary care medical staff, who are designated CME credit for attending.
Each event is designed specifically for connecting primary care providers with specialists to encourage better communication and limit fragmented patient care. Presentation topics thematically involve improving patient safety, enhancing the patient experience, providing value, better communication and patient handoffs, achieving evidence-based disease management, and prevention of readmissions.
Marketing and Communications supports a planning committee led by the Chief Medical Officer and acting President of the Medical Staff. Marketing tasks often include:
- Copy and design of printed invitation
- Marketing automation invite with RSVP web form
- Videos for presentation
- Communication with all presenters
- Copy and design of presentation handouts
- Final custom PowerPoint presentation
